Pentatonix Columbia Concert reviews
Mr. A to Z stuns AGAIN
"I was so thrilled to see Pentatonix at the Excel this year, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. I couldn't hear them well, was cramped, and couldn't see them at all. I bought my tickets on pre-sale when I found out they'd be at the Myth, my favorite venue. I was disappointed I had gotten floor seats because I'm so short, but it turned out to be the best thing to happen to me. There was no pre-assigned seating so we just chilled on the floor in the back to the songs that were meant to just sit back and enjoy. The energy in the Excel was wonderful, but I love when artists A) Completely re-vamp one of their well-known songs so you can't tell it's about to play when they are singing it (The Remedy) and B) Cover another singer's song and give it their own feel. I always grade artists on this, because it shows how talented they are. Jason did not disappoint on either.
I was disappointed they didn't do Wordplay, but Lucky, Remedy, I'm Yours, Sleeping to Dream & my absolute favorite You and I Both more than made up for it. One lucky couple got engaged a foot away from Pentatonix while dancing on their stage to Sleeping to Dream. That girl probably has the best engagement story of all time.
I saw Pentatonix at the Myth this year and was disappointed. It literally made my month. Overall, I'd pay three times as much to experience last night again. We stood, danced, swayed and sang along to those we knew well."
